Like a detailed assembly diagram of complex machinery, but for music.

If you have more than a passing interest in music, as I do, or are a musician, as I wish I were, then I highly recommend the podcast Song Exploder. Each episode takes a piece of music and breaks it down into the component tracks, along with commentary from band members and others involved in its production. The result is a detailed look into the instrumentation, editing, techniques, and ideas that went into crafting the finished piece. Even when I'm not a fan of the  musical genre of a particular selection, listening to the discussion is fascinating. I've never heard anything else quite like it.

In the episode below, Alex Brown Church of the band Sea Wolf breaks down their song "Kasper."
